Responsibilities
Respond to sensor quote requests with preliminary design and costing information.
Improve sensor features, settings, and/or construction for better system level performance.
Finish quoted sensor designs on award of sensor business and guide the design into production.
Perform 3D and electromechanical design work. Prepare component and assembly 2D drawings.
Assist the manufacturing/quality engineers and purchasing with production issues.
Identify automotive Electric Power Steering (EPS) sensor application and technology trends. Help define our strategic direction.
Perform 3D and electromechanical design work as well as prepare component and assembly 2D drawings.
Requirements
Mechanical engineering major with a minor in electrical engineering (or vice versa) preferred.
Skill at electromechanical sensor design required.
At least five years Hall effect automotive sensor design experience preferred.
Experience with EPS (Electrical Power Steering) system design desired.
Experience developing products to meet ISO 26262 ASIL D preferred.
Experience with 3D CAD modeling and Microsoft Office required.
Experience working in TS 16949 and APQP controlled environments
Creo CAD and ANSYS Maxwell preferred.
